Embracing Pastels

I saw these mint green legging jeans at The Londoner and decided to get them, after all it was only £16 and a great way to embrace pastels for Spring.

Here are two outfits I wore centred around these mint leggings.

Outfit 1: Sandro Oversized sweater,
ASOS Pieces Mint Leggings, Valentino purse, Raybans

Outfit 2: Comptoir des Cottoniers Cardigan & ASOS Pieces Mint Leggings

Which spring trend are you embracing?

Should I go back to work?

I called HR today to find out what my options were if I decided not to go back to work. My husband has been offered a job in Asia and if he does take it, we will be moving at the end of this year.

This is a really hard decision for me to make. I love my job, I love working and I love the benefits of working mainly the independence & the pay check. I had been working for a year when I was promoted to a senior role, I had worked hard to earn the position and it gave me a sense of achievement.

My husband tells me that I can always find a similar job in Asia but it won't be the same. He asked me if I planned to go back to work if we weren't moving and although the word YES was on the tip of my tongue, I wasn't sure.

Looking at Lil' babz, I thought about who will look after her whilst I am at work, would I drop her off to nursery to be taken care of by strangers, an au-pair or nanny at home or my mother in law. I realised then that neither of these were acceptable to me. In addition, I started thinking about what would happen if I missed her first words or the first time she walks I would be devastated. I didn't want to be the kind of mom who only spent evenings & weekends with her child and having to rush around her job then have to go back home to put baby to bed.

I am going to give it till the end of the month to decide.

Fashion or the lack of it

Ever hoodie & Free city sweats
My every day post-baby outfit consists of a vest (most often a nursing version), hoodie and sweatpants. Uninspiring, I know! Taking care of a 6 month old, my clothes need to be tough, expandable and comfortable. I did contemplate (for about 10 seconds) to try and wear something new (preferably unworn every other day). Needless to say this never happened and probably won't.

Even on days when I go out, I tend to reach for the same things over and over again. Granted I am still trying to lose the baby weight and can't fit into most of my pre-pregnancy clothes.

As someone who loves fashion and enjoys putting together an outfit, it pains me to open my wardrobe and seeing all my pretty clothes/shoes/bags with nowhere to wear them to. Perhaps a date night is in order!

The Hunger Games

I was introduced to the Hunger Games by my cousin and not knowing much about it (just the fact that she said it was amazing and the movie is coming out this year) I thought I'd give it a go.

One chapter in and I couldn't put the book down and I finished the trilogy in 4 days. Katniss Everdeen is likeable heroine and the twists in the story makes it unpredictable and I will guarantee will grip you till the end. Highly Recommended!

It's all new to me

Discovery Channel Extreme Engineering

The last 6 months has been a rollercoaster ride.
Whoever said having a baby is easy or fun either had help or are completely mad. People say that taking care of a baby gets easier as time passes but I think it's because you are more experienced and are able to manage poop, food throwing & crying fits.

As I am contemplating whether to go back to work, I wanted to spend some time blogging to see where this takes me. Here's to a new adventure!
